Solicitors’ Accounts – Accountants’ Report

The solicitor must ensure an Accountants’ Report is completed and submitted to the Law Society within six months of the accounting period end. For example a firm with a December accounts period end, they must ensure an Accountants’ Report is submitted on or before 30th June.

The volume of work required to complete an Accountants’ Report will vary per Practice. This will be dictated by the volume of turnover, the volume of client files and the quality of the accounting records being maintained.

The Accountants’ Report will be reviewed with the solicitor prior to submission to the Law Society. Also, it is an opportunity to discuss and review any issues which may have arisen and to implement any recommended changes.

We are recognised by the Law Society of Ireland to file the Accountants Report for solicitors.
